The John Smith shallop will visit the State Capitol of Maryland for a weekend commemoration of Smith's exploration of Maryland's Chesapeake.  Come to the Annapolis City Dock to tour the interactive exhibit tent, meet the crew, and see the shallop.  Admission is free.

On John Smith's second voyage up the Chesapeake, he passed the modern day site of Annapolis, Maryland on his route to the northern Bay area. Smith and his crew apparently hastened towards the Bolus Flu (Patapsco River) in anticipation of further sites to explore.
