Sultana Projects offers a history-based classroom program, Echoes of 1608: English and Indians on the 17th Century Chesapeake, that introduces students and teachers to the world of the 17th century Chesapeake Bay as seen through the eyes of English explorer John Smith and the Native American tribes he encountered. Using period images, historic artifacts, and hands-on activities to bring the past alive, Sultana instructors connect teachers and students with the English and Native American cultures, history, and natural environment of the 1608 Chesapeake.
