The National Park Service is working on a detailed management plan for the newly established Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail.  While the full infrastructure for the trail will not be realized for several years, there are already a variety of published guides for modern adventurers looking to explore the Bay and its tributaries.  To keep up-to-date with the latest John Smith Trail news, become a member of Friends of the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail, a group dedicated to the development, maintenance, management and protection of the
trail.  As a member, you will receive regular E-newsletters providing tips on how you can explore the Chesapeake Bay in the wake of John Smith.
